Experts in Play

Sports Officials If you enjoy working in a sports environment and wish to earn extra income, consider officiating youth or adult activities. For information please contact Greg Harmon, Topeka Premier Umpires at 230-3804. All SCPR umpires must be current on certifications and submit information for background checks. We strive to provide a positive sports environment for everyone involved.

251-2970 Brian Toby, Recreation Supervisor Oakland Center, 801 NE Poplar prathletics@snco.us www.quickscores.com/snco The following charts will provide a quick glance of the upcoming leagues for youth and adults. For more information and registration forms, please visit www.quickscores.com/snco. Schedules When creating league schedules all requests and conditions are evaluated to devise the optimal schedule prior to its release. SCPR reserves the right to change, alter, or decline requests and we require a five (5) day notice along with a $30 administration fee for any schedule alteration (paid only by requestor). Teams may have to play doubleheaders, play early and/or late games, travel within the community, accept the current online schedule or even forfeit. Your opponent should be contacted first about your request, then at both the other team’s and our discretion the schedule may or may not be edited depending on other conditions. Athletic Youth Standards Enrollment for your son or daughter in our program requires you to fill out and sign a registration form, pay at the time of registration, travel within the community, and parents are required to fully understand and accept our Code of Ethics. Our staff, coaches, officials, and volunteers are held accountable so we must expect the same from parents. Sign up individually and we will place your child on a team. Teams are formed according to only those registrations received. SCPR may or may not accept registrations to fill teams or leagues. No guaranteed placement of individuals on teams, however, we do try to create teams based on locality, schools, neigh-borhoods, and coach preferences. View our refund policy prior to registering your child. SCPR reserves the right to modify the sports environment to benefit the youth participating. Our goal is to provide a positive sports environment to youth during their developmental years. Parents are highly encouraged to attend any coaches meetings. Attention Parents/Participants A $10 service fee is added to any participant registering after the deadline for any LEAGUE SPORT including but not limited to: soccer, t-ball, flag football, machine pitch, hockey, baseball, basketball, volleyball or softball. Placement after the deadline is not guaranteed. Be a Coach Parents are needed to volunteer coach various sports throughout the year. We will provide resources to assist you in communicating to participants and parents. One child receives free participation for your time. Volunteers are asked to submit information for a SCPR volunteer background check and attend a coach’s meeting prior to being allowed to coach youth sports. Please contact us for more information. BE A COACH does not apply to all our youth sports programs.

Adult League Policies Registering a team to participate in our adult league sports does not guarantee placement. Please register early in the process to ensure participation. League size may be limited and SCPR reserves the right to place your team in a different league on a different night if deemed necessary. Make up games, due to any reason, will be rescheduled with relation to field availability and teams must play the game or accept a forfeit. We are building a positive sports environment for all ages and we ask that coaches make the participants, fans, and themselves aware of our current Sportsmanship Emphasis prior to participating in any individual or league sports. Adult league rules are available online. Adult Participation Are you new to the Topeka area and want to participate on a team or in league sports? Send us an email at prathletics@snco.us with your name and phone and sport in which you are interested in participating and we will put you in contact with potential coaches or leagues. You may c heck out the website at www.QuickScores.com/snco for more information as well. SOCCER Oakland Clinic (2-4) 9am

We’ve been educating preschool aged children for more than 30 years! We believe that children learn best through the natural play environment. The early years of a child’s life are most important because that is when the characteristics of their personalities and their own self-image develop. We strive to provide appropriate activities to develop each child socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively. Through these activities, children are encouraged to learn through play, and develop their skills through self-learning, peer education and teacher-directed activities. We value not just learning, but the love of learning as well. In order to ensure individual attention, class size is limited to 15 students. A $30 non-refundable registration is required; tuition of $10 per day is collected at the beginning of each month. Velma K.
