THE GUIDE 2021 WINTER/SPRING

Forest Therapy is a research-based framework for supporting healing and wellness through immersion in forests and other natural environments. Forest Therapy is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku or forest bathing. Studies have demonstrated a wide array of health benefits, especially in the cardiovascular and immune systems, and improving mood and cognition. We build on those benefits and look beyond, to what happens when people remember that we are a part of nature, not separate from it, and are related to all other beings in fundamental ways.” – Association of Nature and Forest Therapy

Forest Bathing Walk Because authentic connection is powerful medicine, forest bathing experiences provide invitations to transform your relationship with yourself and nature. The invitations help you explore interbeing through various modalities, with activities that support mindfulness and bodyfulness. They are slow and sensory. We begin with a 15-minute guided meditation and end with tea. There are several opportunities to process and be heard through listening circles. This is an amazing way to feel alive and get to know the land life! Age: 18+ Date: May 15, June 12, July 10 Time: 9:30 a.m.-noon Fee: $20

Nature Immersion Younger or older siblings welcome. Caregiver must stay present and is responsible for registrant. Up to eight families.
