2 Athletes sign with Division 1 colleges This year saw several area athletes sign with Division 1 colleges. The Shawnee baseball team alone had three players sign with D1 schools. Eli Davis inked with the University of Kansas while Jake Taylor and Tanner Sparks signed letters of intent with Oklahoma State. Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas added two local pitchers to their signing class. Tecumseh’s Caitlin Bingham and Chandler’s Neleigh Herring have both signed on to pitch at the school. Probably the biggest signing of the year goes to Shawnee’s Creed Humphrey though, who signed a letter of intent to play football with the University of Oklahoma.
