Dear Praying Friends: The summer is over and fall is beginning. For our family this was a season full of events, probably more than any other time of the year. This summer we had many kids staying with us and much work to do.

In June Bogdan put on the insulation for the boys’ house and replaced the roof. This was a good time of working together with our boys. We also installed a new fence instead of the old wooden one that previously caught on fire on several occasions as people walking by dropped cigarette butts near it. In July we had 5 new kids come to stay with us – 2 girls and 3 boys. At first this was not easy for them as they were adapting to their new life conditions and new responsibilities. They came to spend one month with us, and after that they had to return to the orphanage until August. Now that they have returned to us from the orphanage, we finally had a chance to talk to them about their future plans regarding them staying with us. All of them have passed their entrance exams to Kiev colleges and had to decide where each of them would like to live.

A guy and a girl (who had a wedding later this July) for some time already had a desire to be baptized and we had a chance to baptize them right there at the river side, as it was something they wanted to do before their wedding. This was a joyous celebration for all of us. We were rejoicing, greeting the newly baptized and spent much time praying for them. The Lord gave Bogdan and I this time with the children we will never forget – this was very encouraging and we were very blessed. The week after this camping trip we had a wedding – this was the first wedding of our children that Bogdan and I had to prepare for them. The wedding ceremony was held in our back yard. It was a homelike and cozy atmosphere, with much joy and very touching. We were especially blessed to see
