Rebuild by Design Hudson River Project SUBMITTALS ARE DUE MARCH 31, 2020, 5:00PM EST. LATE SUBMITTALS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

The State of New Jersey, through a grant supplied by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), is overseeing the final design of the Rebuild by Design Hudson River Project. The State has procured AECOM to provide engineering and design services in support of this project. The Rebuild By Design Hudson River Project takes a multifaceted approach intended to address flooding from both major storm surge and high tide, as well as from heavy rainfall events. These events often occur individually, but can also occur together, increasing their impacts. The project seeks to benefit flooding areas inside the project area, which encompasses the City of Hoboken, extending into Weehawken and Jersey City, with the following approximate boundaries: the Hudson River to the east; Baldwin Avenue (in Weehawken) to the north; the Palisades to the west; and 18th Street, Washington Boulevard and 14th Street (in Jersey City) to the south. As part of this program, the State of New Jersey and AECOM are committed to meeting Section 3 (24 CFR Part 135) of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended (12 U.S.C. 1701u), which provides incentives for low income persons and companies that meet the standards for a Section 3 Business to participate in federally funded programs.
