STATEWIDE TAILGATE SUCCESS The beginning of a tradition Sh eal y El ect ri cal W h ol esal ers opened its new Columbia location to customers all over South Carolina for the first Statewide Tailgate Extravaganza on November 5, 2009. Over 300 customers, along with 30 suppliers made this event one of the most successful in Shealy Electrical history. “Our suppliers were instrumental in giving us the means to have such a wonderful event,” said Bill DeLoache, President of Shealy Electrical Wholesalers. “Through their support, we were able to show our customers our appreciation.” Throughout the evening, customers mixed and mingled while enjoying food from a variety of local caterers and restaurants. Five flat screen televisions playing the Virginia Tech/ Costal Ca rolina game were displayed throughout the event, with one large projection screen set up at

the back of the property for those that chose to settle in at a table.

success. We are waiting on the 2010 football schedule to be released in order to set a date.”

At the end of the evening a raffle drawing took place for door prizes which included 32 inch flat screen televisions, IPods, Digital Cameras, a variety of tools and accessories. The new Columbia Campus was constructed on over 7 acres of land in West Columbia and includes a branch building that is 32,000 square feet and a corporate building that is 8,500 square feet. “We are extremely excited about our new location.” says DeLoache. “We would love for our customers to stop by at any time to come and see our new headquarters.” When asked about the 2010 Open House, DeLoache says “We can’t go back now! The most compact and versatile rangefinder in the world! It’s almost an insult to even call this powerful measurement tool a “rangefinder” because its capabilities go far beyond just measuring a range. You can instantly measure slope distance, inclination and azimuth* and calculate horizontal and vertical distance . . . all with a single push of a button. The 360 series has an integrated compass that allows you to measure azimuth and provides an extra onboard solution called missing line. This is a simple 2-shot routine that instantly calculates the distance, inclination and azimuth direction value between any two remote points. Using the exclusive TrueVector Compass Technology, you can now obtain the best possible azimuth accuracy regardless of what pitch or angle you shoot from. No other compass laser can do that. All TruPulse models have an onboard

solution that only requires 3 shots to calculate a height or clearance value of any target. Since your last 2 shots are only measuring the inclination values to the top and base, you never need a clear line of sight to you r target. For downloading data into any compatible data collector, you can use the standard RS232 serial port or the Bluetooth that is found in the “B” models. Each shot automatically downloads a full data string that comprises of horizontal, slope and vertical distance, the degree of inclination and azimuth* values. These measurements can be used to remotely position a target when integrating with GPS or add a height value as an attribute in GIS. For more stability, use the 1/4”-20 thread for mounting the TruPulse on a staff or monopod. Having superior optics with 7-power magnification and in-scope data display, you’ll

always be confident you are capturing the right measurement to the correct target. If measurement were ever in question, you can toggle on the Closest or Farthest mode to ensure the laser sensor is ignoring unwanted obstructions that are either in front or behind your desired target. What else can be said about the TruPulse laser series? What about its compact size and low price point? When you consider this size being small enough to fit in your vest pocket and how customers have claimed it paid for itself within their first project, there is no question that the TruPulse is one of the best measurement tools in the world.
