BEYOND THE CLASSROOM TRINITY TERM 2023
At Shebbear, we place a great emphasis on our varied and extensive Co-Curricular programme, offering over 70 different clubs over the year for our pupils to choose from. These activities are divided into four areas of interest: Action, Arts, Adventure and Academic and there is something to suit everyone!
Our activities are designed to broaden horizons and develop personal qualities such as leadership, confidence and tenacity, as well as learning new skills and developing interests.
Activities take place during the school day and after school, with our buses leaving at 5pm to accommodate this. Sports fixtures often take place in the evenings or at weekends and our boarders also enjoy a rich variety of activities and trips at weekends and in the evenings.
For pupils taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Challenge, opportunities are symbolised by a P (Physical), V (Volunteering) or S (Skill). Further volunteering opportunities are also available - please speak to the activity leaders to find out more.
