Become a pupil at Shebbear! Following the Summer School, many pupils decide to join us for at least one academic year. If you would like to do this, we will deduct the cost of the Summer Programme from your first year’s school fees.
Our Food Our school meals and snacks are healthy, fresh and delicious. We work with bespoke catering company, Thomas Franks and use local suppliers and fresh ingredients wherever possible to provide our pupils with nutritious, exciting options. As well as a Chef’s special and a Vegan/Vegetarian option each day, our lunch spreads include ‘grab and go’ options, daily soup and salad bars, hydration stations and fresh fruit. Our boarders enjoy exciting breakfast options, including a smoothie bar with fresh fruits and juice that they can pick and have blended into a custom smoothie, and breakfast specials, which the chefs adapt each day to add variety to the morning offerings.
Boarding Boarding at Shebbear builds confidence and friendships and develops independence – as well as being a lot of fun! We have two boarding houses - Pollard for the boys and Ruddle for the girls. Our boarders all have a Houseparent and a Matron who are responsible for their academic, pastoral and social welfare, giving them the security of a family environment whilst at the same time enjoying the freedom to grow and mature.
Summer School Awards Programme At the end of your time at Shebbear College, you will have the opportunity to gain one of our Summer School awards.
