SPECIAL ACOUSTIC CONCERT WITH
george canyon September 27, 2013 – 7:30 pm TICKETS: $45 Adults $42 Seniors/Youth Not only is George Canyon an honorary Colonel for the Canadian Air Force, but he’s one heck of a country singer. I Believe in Angels is one of the most played songs on Canadian country radio and is only a small insight into the level of talent and dedication that Canyon possesses. Canyon engages his fans the old fashioned way, by tirelessly playing exceptional shows and loving every minute of it. George Canyon performed a sold out show at Shell Theatre on December 1, 2008.
When Paul Simon’s Graceland album was first released, Robert Christgau enthused “so strange, so sweet, so willful, so radically incongruous and plainly beautiful.” It’s easy to see why the James Murdoch Band, along with members of Le Fuzz, found inspiration in this album. 9 talented musicians show off their musical prowess as they bring the album Graceland alive onstage, making it their own without diverging too far from its original extraordinary beauty. jamesmurdochband.com

Described as an old bluesy soul with a style all her own. Thai’s fearlessness on the piano and energetic show is a perfect collaboration of classical techniques and jazz sensibilities with an unexpected tornado of personality for good measure. Jenie Thai performed to a sold out audience for a special on stage show in February 2012. jeniethai.ca

AGRIUM PRESENTS:
AN ACOUSTIC EVENING WITH
sass jordan February 21, 2014 – 7:30 pm TICKETS: $45 Adults $42 Seniors/Youth To describe this internationally recognized Juno Award winner as less than iconic would be doing her a disservice. Sass Jordan has played with Aerosmith, Alice Cooper and Joe Cocker to name just a few. She’s sold more than a million records worldwide and now she’s bringing her rootsy, intimate, acoustic show to Shell Theatre.
Celebrate International Women’s Day with innovative, award-winning Toronto artist Evalyn Parry as she takes her audience on an uncommon theatrical and musical journey in Spin, her tour-de-force performance celebrating the Bicycle as muse, musical instrument and agent for social change. One part documentary and another part musical activism, Parry spins a web of stories which travel from 19th century women’s emancipation to 21st century consumer culture, peeling back layers of history to ultimately reveal a profoundly contemporary and personal heart to her theme of liberation.

Influenced by Patsy Cline, Garth Brooks and Paul Brandt, this talented Fort Saskatchewan teacher brings his popular Hockey Song, and much more, to the stage. With a tonne of talent and limitless energy, Kory Wlos will touch your ears with his music and your heart with his lyrics.
Fort Saskatchewan musician Donald Lee helps us celebrate Alberta Culture Days, starting the evening off with old and new favourites. Lee then joins the Kacafeenated Saxophone Quartet sharing a mix of caffeine and cacophony (but not really). This diverse saxophone quartet showcases the breadth and depth of the saxophone sound.
Fort Saskatchewan’s finest conglomeration of whimsy and wit cover the hits of today and the classics of the past. When one of the members is described as a ‘technocratic power hobbit’, how could one chance not seeing this very talented, exceptionally fun, band. 8 ticket limit per household
