Barrie Stafford Inducted into the PHATS/SPHEM Wall of Honour 2012
Barrie Stafford June 23, 2012 Barrie Stafford was inducted into the Professional Hockey Athletic Trainers Society (PHATS) and the Society of Professional Hockey Equipment Managers’ (SPHEM) Wall of Honour, which is located in the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. Recognized in person by John Muckler, Lyle “Sparky” Kulchisly, Ken Lowe, Peter Millar, Paul Coffey and many members of the Oilers family and hockey community during a ceremony in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida between annual trainers meetings. Barrie has worked for the NHL Edmonton Oilers for over 30 years and has celebrated five Stanley Cup Championships and worked over 2,000 games as a head equipment manager in professional ice hockey. ”The Game of Life…is a little more important than the Game of Hockey” - Barrie Stafford
