Foreword by SPHEM President Paul Boyer; There are many fascinating and enjoyable aspects of our jobs in professional ice hockey, dealing with our players and management, travel, winning & loosing games, striving for a championship. I find one of the most enjoyable aspects is often over looked, the camaraderie we have amongst each other. It is so often seen at our annual meetings groups of friends gathering to discuss not only the ins and outs of our jobs but most importantly the stories that go along with those jobs and the knowing the people who tell them. It is my hope, year after year, that seeing these photos will bring up memories that constantly make us laugh and enjoy the game, our job, life long friendships and the legacies we leave behind. Special Thanks to photographer Shelly Castellano who came up with this concept, traveled, interviewed, photographed, designed and published these images of our PHATS & SPHEM members at work in the NHL, AHL and ECHL. Each year the PHATS SPHEM Hall of Fame Committee selects one outstanding individual for induction. The purpose of the Hall is to recognize those members who made significant contributions to their profession, the societies, and the sport of professional hockey. A commemorative plaque is on display inside the training room area of the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.
