Shamicka Lawrence is known as a role model and
loving mother to her three daughters where they currently reside in her hometown of Los Angeles, California. She is most recognized for her role on VH1’s hit reality show “Hollywood Exes”. She is the ex-wife of comedian Martin Lawrence, but that does not even begin to describe this celebrity personality, vocalist, motivational speaker, entrepreneur, fashion designer, model and chef. In 2011, Lawrence was diagnosed with Lupus and Celiac disease. She has managed to keep both illnesses at bay with her gluten-free diet, exercise and stressfree, positive mentality.
She uses her platform to encourage others to lead healthy lifestyles throughout life’s transitions, including divorce, illness and the leap toward entrepreneurship. She is a successful entrepreneur who owns several entities such as F8th Unit LLC, the SS Lawrence Collection LLC and Aqua Hydrate Inc. and uses her businesses to highlight the importance of a joyful spirit.
Diagnosed in 2011 with Lupus, Shamicka has made it her life mission to be advocate for the disease bringing awareness and supporting organizations that provide medications to low income individuals. As someone that came from a less fortunate circumstance, Shamicka also wants to be an inspiration to children and adults helping them realize they don’t have to be a product of their environment.
In addition, Lawrence runs an all-natural organic spices business, developed right from her own kitchen, called “Don’t Hurt Cha’ Tongue Baby.” She has an innate gift to prepare food, including with a creative gluten-free twist, that will leave you saying “I can’t believe it’s gluten-free.” Lawrence’s desire is for the world to have an experience when tasting her delicious dishes and uses culinary tools to paint on delicious canvasses through her creative arts. Both her cookbook and cooking show are soon to be released. Lawrence is also the creator of her clothing line called “Joyfully Gifted.” with each piece carrying a message of encouragement.
Her life’s mission is to give back to the community, impart positive change, empower support and provide education with good health. Lawrence is committed to this cause whether via cooking, designing, singing or performing public speaking. Her story as an overcomer and achiever allows her voice to be a light of inspiration.
