Many survivors enter Shelterhouse's emergency shelter after fleeing an abusive environment with only the clothes on their backs. We try to meet survivors' comprehensive needs by providing all the household items, toiletries, and essentials that they need to live safely and comfortably. Often, clients are able to take many of these items with them when they transition out of shelter into new secure housing.
In the last year, we were able to provide safe refuge to over 100 survivors and children in our emergency shelter thanks to your generous donations.
For this campaign, we encourage groups, families, churches, or individuals to provide a comfortable and fully-stocked suite for survivors of domestic & sexual violence seeking shelter with their children.
