Experiencing domestic or sexual violence can be a traumatizing and confusing experience, and it's normal to feel unsure about how to work through that trauma. Shelterhouse is here to support whatever decision you make. We can talk you through options, advocate for you, help you navigate the legal system, or just provide a listening ear. You do not have to involve the legal system in order to receive refuge, hope, and healing services with Shelterhouse. All of the choices are yours.

What is a Personal Protection Order? A Personal Protection Order (PPO) is a court order that protects you from an individual who is threatening, hurting, harassing, or stalking you. A PPO can bar that individual from coming near you, your place of work, or your school, and can prohibit them from contacting you in any way.
