ALUMNI GOLF 2023 REPORT

Dear SVA Alumni and Friends,

The 26th annual golf event to benefit Shenandoah Valley Academy (SVA) was held on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Bryce Resort. More than $54,000 was raised toward new SVA ballfield lights--2nd highest total in 26 years. The weather was great and there were glimpses of brilliance on the golf course. (Acknowledged with cash prizes--some of which was returned to the fundraising effort).

I want to extend extra appreciation to the generous sponsors listed in this report. Most of the work to ensure the fundraising success is completed prior to the actual Shotgun start. This year player interest exceeded capacity and the course maximum of 27 teams participated. Additional funds were raised the day of event at the putting contest on the first tee--won by Barry Armstrong ‘17.

With the field pre-registered, a single “Mulliganfor-the-Field’ sponsorship, we took team pictures, enjoyed breakfast, and started the event promptly. Afterward, we enjoyed a full buffet lunch in the clubhouse and recognized team and individual achievements.
