This project works as a company Headquarters, so the client wants the project not only functional as offices but also would have a feeling of the home. We start with the traditional Chinese home form, the SiHeYuan (quadrangle courtyard). And we put the conference center in the front of the site, during the design of the conference center, we have the concept that the conference center should become the main entrance gate, so we using the form of the gate combine the columns, as the shading of the gate. Behind the gate is three main office building sitting on the support function building with the garden in the middle.

Project introduction
This project is in Beijing Tongzhou district, which is located in the southeast of Beijing. The site is in the east end of Chang'an Avenue, it could be regarded as the eastern gate of the capital, Beijing. The commercial complex has been divided into Towel A, Towel B and city square. Towel A is mainly a resort hotel, with various functions like meeting, business and entertainment. Towel B is a co-working office tower with apartments inside as well. The city square includes a big commercial shopping center, has commercial parts including KTV, IMAX cinema, underground supermarket, city underground parking. In addition, the project through the roof landscape garden, wedding chapel to adorn meantime, creates a good landscape advantage and entertainment space. The design of the entire complex plans to connect to with public transportation, the existing stream of people, and the surrounding urban context and the development of future city could thoroughly been considered. This commercial complex would largely absorb resources, wealth and positive energy, also establishing an alive and elegant environment.

Project Introduction This Hotel design is reinvestigation of a hotel in relation to sociology, site and user experience. The hotel has its unique site at the intersection of the burgeoning Highline and busting 23rd Street. The New York High Line is a 1.45-mile-long New York City linear park with great place for a relaxing stroll, nice views and a surprising ambience.
Outline of Highline
Imaging a destination hotel in the central area of this wonderful place, offering a place for citizen or tourists to escape from urban life, enjoy the magnificent skyline on the viewing point. The hotel would just like the imaginary wonderland in the urban center mentioned in Rem Koolhaas’s Delirious New York.

The key space takes a fundamental function of a hotel pool, merges with a spa and a cafĂŠ, and rises its up in the air to create a view of city skyline and energetic activities on the highline. I separate these two towels, aiming to against the image of skyscrapers, those capital monuments. Instead, reduced the height of the hotel but twist them together by air bridges inspired by the highline itself, combining with green space in the bottom and roof garden, trying to bring back the feeling of city square, which performance vertically.

This project is trying to explore a new business mode of book making and selling: customers could read online and download e-books, journals on Berwick press’ database website. If customers want to get a hard copy or physical books, they could use Berwick Press’s cloud service, which would send the text to print center and print for them. Books could be deliver to customers, but what interesting is they can actually visit the building and experience the traditional book making process, making, and actually work with artist there and design their DIY book in the open factory. The open factory is located underground level to prevent noise.
Public center: I put a triple height atrium with a double triangle glass roof as the key space. This would visually connect the open factory with all floors to create a public fleeing The double height auditorium could be a place to hold public lecture, speech or art festival. A library area and café also become a good place for Berwick people’s social activity.
The structure for the building is steel frame due to its good capability of supporting large span floor and putting cladding system. The sandstone or timber panel cladding wall for this building would be made from local materials and recycling use would help to keep the context of townscape.
Another idea is embracing the public and encouraging more artists to communicate and work here, keeping the town memories by creating art works, for example, traditional books, to maintain culture of Berwick.

Project Introduction
Photo of people voting
As a prominent example of design potential for the community, the Hub’s accommodates collection of functions to form a comprehensive architectural innovation workshop. Local and invited practitioners and academics come together Currently in Baitasi there exists various shops producing to contemplate to live, work, exchange and construction materials and services, but the selection and exhibit new possibilities for organic, sustainable building methodologies result in the hodgepodge nature of transformation. building renovation and addition. The Baitasi Community Design Hub is envisioned as place where design innovation This exhibition work is trying to collect residence, meets community engagement as a localized response to the public’s feedback about Hutong reconstruction the evolution of the built environment of Baitasi. from inviting them into this exhibition room, choosing timber joint from the installment, to place in the central collector. An overview is made of the program elements found in Baitasi area related to our intervention site. The existing program elements can be divided into two main categories, the social and the practical. I want to integrate both the social and the practical into the new facade interventions. Additionally I also propose extruded windows in some facades to increase the living area of the home behind, to provide more natural lighting and to create interaction between the public street and the private home. The 3-dimensional facade will be an element custom designed for each location. Based on the existing situation behind the facade, the program elements found in the public space and the special needs of the local people.
