WEEKEND PREVIEW From The Coaches Welcome back to Heights for Round 13 as we’re now in the final third of the season. Last week we went down to Wallan on the road who are in a rich vein of form but it was our inability to get the game on our terms at any stage compounded once again by 21 offensive rebounds against which led to 19 extra shot attempts for our opponents in a 14pt loss. This weekend we face the top two teams and it’s all about gaining some respect against the top tier of our league as we have been solid at home with a 5-2 record for the year but a lacklustre 1-8 on the road which is why we find ourselves in the current predicament. Today we welcome the Mildura Heat who have sat atop of the standings all season but lost three straight before returning to the winners list last week. Led by reigning league MVP Calvin Henry (19.1ppg & 9.1rpg) and American Jacob Pettway (19.3ppg & 11.5rpg), the visitors average 86.6ppg so it’s imperative our defence stands up like against Craigieburn in our most recent home game a month ago.

Division 2 Men's Head Coach Welcome all to the house of the rising sun this weekend we welcome Mornington Breakers to our home court, both Mornington and ourselves are coming off disappointing losses from last weekends games and both teams will be desperate for the win, 4th position on the ladder is up for grabs with a number of teams only 1 game behind us so the next 5 weeks are very important if we are to make finals for the 1st time in many seasons, there is no doubt the players and coaches are up to the challenge and are very determined to get back on a winning streak. The support so far this season has been fantastic from all of you and with that continued support we have no doubt the rest of the season will be a success.
