WEEKEND PREVIEW From The Coaches Tonight we commence our third Double Header round in a row. It has been a tough couple of weeks, but we are up for the battle versus our neighbours from Knox. Former Suns Marek Toman and Cameron Bradley visit SunCity, Suns fans need to ensure they feel welcome. Youngster Billy Bundle comes off a promising weekend and we look forward to seeing him develop over the coming months. Veteran Darren Feldtmann continues to post numbers in his return season, we look forward to his percentages continuing to improve as he gets his groove back.

Welcome back to Belgrave for our third consecutive home game on a unique Friday night fixture during school holidays. Last week we delivered two complete contrasting halves which ultimately left the team to shoulder a massively missed opportunity letting an 11pt half time lead slip against top 4 placed Camberwell eventually going down by 7pts. Hardest to swallow was the decline on the defensive end and effort on the glass after the main break which isnâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t acceptable and the playing group were challenged considering the ramifications it had to our current ladder placing. Our team have opened the season LWLWL which is a sign of growing pains with roster turnover but this is an unbelievably close competition and we identified that a top six position by the Easter break was an absolute must which now hinges on the weekends Double Header. Tonight we welcome the Maccabi Warriors who underwent some personnel change in the off-season also and while having a testing start to the season returning coach Brendan Parnell showed he can squeeze the most out of his group as displayed in 2018 and we wonâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t be taking anything for granted. Experienced duo Benji Tamir (21.8ppg & 7rpg) and Adam Klas (18.7ppg) have held the fort early while Jack Pinkus and Hudson De Bortoli have both had double figure point games to this point in the year. We invite everyone to stick around after the game and join the players at the after game function up stairs for a bite to eat and chat with players.

Sherbrooke Suns BIG V Imports Kraig Shields & Deslyn Applewhaite are offering individual/small group training sessions each Monday and Wednesday evening with all players welcome irrespective of age or skill level. The sessions are conducted at Upwey High School on Monday between 6-7pm and Wednesday evenings between 6-8pm. Sessions will cover all individual offensive and defensive components and can be tailored based on parent/player feedback. Cost schedule as follows; One on One: $30 per hour (single coach) Two participants: $20 ph per person (single coach) Group 3 or more participants: $15 ph per person (single coach) These sessions will be capped at 1:8 coach/player ratio and pre-booking is required.
