GRADUATE THESIS PROPOSAL BY SHERLY LIU
I am Sherly. I am from China and living in Bay Area more than three years. This is my third semester in AAU, and I’ve got my first master degree in Animation major in Beihang University, China. However, I didn’t feel exciting about animation. So after graduation, I worked as an UI/UE Designer in MediaTek Inc. about one year in Beijing, China. After that, I moved to American. Then I found I’m still interested in the UX field, so that I decided to come to AAU to systemically learn UX. And I hope to get a good job in this field when I graduated. I like movies, music, workout, travel, cooking, etc. In most of my leisure time, I’d like to watch movies and to do workout in order to relax my brain. In vacations, I usually travel outside with my families to explore the world and get some inspirations. I hope when I finished this course my presentation skill can be enhanced and my midpoint review can be almost well prepared.

Nowadays, users like to shopping online, but it's really hard to know whether the items they want are suitable or not. So when users wear the VR Glasses, they can try the clothes or shoes in a virtual world. Then it can save user’s time and energy for shopping, decrease the chances for returning items and also can give users a better experience when they are shopping.
This counter can connect to users’ mobile phones, computers, or any other digital devices, so that when they receive phone calls, messages and emails, users just need to touch the counter to make a phone call and send a message or email. Also it has the entertainment and shopping functions.
AIRPLAN
Nowadays, more and more people get used to travel by flights, and correspondingly many of them have ever had the painful experience of missed fight. In this case, missing flight increasingly became an important problem in people’s life, since it not only makes people feel helpless and desperate, but also results in economic loss to people. Based on the research, missing flight usually causes by underestimating the time to airport and trapped by accidental situations. Also, once the missing flight happened, people are usually helpless. Therefore, it would be very useful if there is a way to provide people more accurate real-time estimated time from their locations to airports and provide alerts and suggestions to help people who are potentially missing their flights. This project is going to make a platform that helps passengers to avoid missing flights and to reduce their loss by connecting passengers, airlines, and airports together when missing fight is inevitable. The airlines provide the queuing information for their check-in lines, and the airports provide the queuing information for the security check lines. With the gathered information, the platform is able to provide passengers a more accurate real-time estimated time of leaving for their itineraries. At the same time, the platform will track the passengers’ real-time locations as well, and this information is used to determine if the passengers are possibly missing the flights. For the passengers who are missing flight, the platform will push alerts to passengers’ devices with the suggestions in order to help them.

GRADUATE THESIS PROPOSAL BY SHERLY LIU
In this January, I had a very bad experience in Orlando airport that I almost missed the flight back to bay area. I think I’m not the only one who feels helpless and desperate under that situation. Many people missed their flights because of they are underestimate the time to the airport, and also sometimes they were trapped by accidental situations. If there are some ways to give passengers more accurate real-time estimated time from their current location to the to the boarding gates, and also push alarms and suggestions to passengers for preventing them missing the flights, it would help passengers manage their time appropriately, and also have a better flight experience. I propose to build an app to provide users an accurate time from their current location to the boarding gate. This product is available on mobile phone and smart wearable devices. By using it, users are able to get more accurate and detailed real-time estimated time they need. Meanwhile, when accidental situation happens, user can get alarms to check the details, and AirPlan also provide suggestions, so that user can make some changes to prevent missing flights. Therefore, AirPlan can give user a better experience to catch up their flights and prevent them missing flights.

HOW TO MAKE IT UNIQUE
Passengers can check in and get the real-time waiting information through the app.
Need so much accurate data to support the accuracy of time.
Passengers can get more accurate time from arriving at the airports to arriving at the gates. Lot of choices can be provided to passengers for choosing. For example, do you need to return a rental car; do you need to check in your baggages; do you need to park your car in the long time parking area. So that the estimation of time must be more accurate.
