OUR CHALLENGES 

Global: Increased U.S. spending on health care but worse health outcomes than comparable countries

National: Unacceptable health disparities by race and ethnic group, at county and state levels

Regional: Increased demand for clinic services provided by Sherman College interns to SC and NC communities

Professional: Need for quality chiropractic care growing exponentially and pipeline of qualified graduates from principled D.C. programs

Campus: Need for improved learning and teaching facilities and technology; increase in space and capacity to accommodate increased enrollment and community demand for services

Capital Improvement Project: to fund campus expansion, new building, renovations and improvements. Impact: Expands capacity of the campus to accommodate more students, technology, program enhancement, and community engagement.  Annual Fund: to provide annual operating support. Impact: Allows deans and directors to say “yes” to innovative programs, faculty research projects, and hands-on learning opportunities.  Scholarships: to increase financial support for student success. Impact: Reduces or eliminates Sherman scholars’ financial stress so that they remain focused on their studies and reach new levels of academic success.  Endowment: to support long-term growth, financial stability and sustainability. Impact: Ensures the mission and vision of Sherman endures in perpetuity and that the chiropractic profession continues to grow for many years to come. 
