Building Type: Institutional Development
Client: Hong Kong Correctional Services Department
Involvement: Feasibility Studies
The proposed multi-purpose gymnasium building for the Hong Kong Correctional Services Department is located in Stanley. As the project site is relatively small, the building form is restricted by the limited site area, as well as the proposed programs and their headroom requirements. Hence, the building setback for functional zoning and unobstructed sea view, while physical connection with the existing buildings is also incorporated. Moreover, the proposed elevated greenery is a replacement of the existing landscape. It maximises green elements, to integrate the building into the surrounding natural environment and minimise visual impact to the Stanley Mosque.

Building Type: Hostel Development
Client: the City University of Hong Kong
Involvement: Feasibility Studies
The proposed student hostel for the City University of Hong Kong is located in Kowloon Tong. As the project site has a great level diference and limited site area, it restricts the hostel design, as well as the pedestrian and vehicle access to the development. To minimise excavation and accommodate a large arrival plaza, a c-shaped building block is designed. Its orientation provides a wide angle of view and minimises trafc noise impact. On the other hand, the development promotes modular integrated construction method (MiC). It takes beneft of mass production to reduce the reliance on labours for construction activities, while enhancing productivity and safety on-site.
