POOL COMPLEX SECOND YEAR S1 EXPLORATION IN GRASSHOPPER LOCATION: ASSER LEVY PARK BROOKLY, NY For this project students were tasked with designing a pool complex using our initial grasshopper module. This system involved “sticks� that changed in angle and rotation. I used this system and deployed it along different splines, and used the intersections as a from of structure as well as a way to provide program space. Another focus in the project is the shaded and translucent panels, which assist in providing program, it also provides the space with light and shade on the outside of the structure. The programs in this space include pool areas, bathrooms,locker rooms, as well as seating.

INCISE SECOND YEAR S2 COLLABORATIVE STUDIO TECTONICS For this project students were asked to create a folly representing some form of climate change. This is the first built project for students in their career and we were to focus on masonry as our mode of construction. Given a “site” of 8’ x 6‘ we were to design our “monument” to climate change. For our particular studio we decided to focus on the idea of, “The depletion of Earth’s natural recourses.” In the following drawings you will see our implied form being the entire cube change as the three main natural resources are being depleted and carved out from the “Earth.” With out intricate cuts for our 63 types of brick intricate coursing documents for the masons as well as ourselves had to be made as well as the creation of a matrix to speed up the construction process. This experience gave students the opportunity to see on a small scale what it is like working directly with and entire design team (our studio) and contractors in this case masons.
