Exterior Finish Raised Standing seam Zinc cladding type. Conforms to EN 988. Natural VMZINC has a shiny metallic appearance when new and develops a patina over time. In facade applications, it may take 10 years for the matt grey patina to form, but will match the greyish blue facade tiles of the building

Unpolished hot rolled steel sheeting. To clad the window box of the front facade, internally and externally. The thermal implications as a surface finish is to create warmth to sit against when sitting in the bay window. 3mm sheeting to clad timber structure box window. Floor inserts at main entrance as shown on ground floor finishes plan. Flush insert around fireplace opening, as shown on ground floor finishes plan. To protect surrounding timber from coals and hot ash. Small steel plates to be part of the facade cladding, to frame the windows and entrance door. Exposed exterior steel plates will wear over time, very slowly as it has high resistance properties, but the seawater will over a long period of time give the metal a variation in tone. Giving the houses variation in finishes across the plot.

Glulam Timber Spruce & Pine
- Glulam consists of stacked spruce lamellas glued to form large-format structural elements using a formaldehyde-free adhesive. - The columns & beams of the house will be glulam timber made up of Danish Spruce & Pine. - Using small timber laminates for glulam there is no need to harvest tall and old trees. - Large spans of 50 metres allow for greater open spaces. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor - C24 rating used for Gluam - softwood boards (Danish Pine & Spruce) - Efficient use of timber as C16 & C18 rated timbers can be used for less load bearing elements

Glazed tiles to clad the interior courtyard walls. To add colour and light effects to the interior space which will add to the interior of the house through the glazed windows. The handmade glazing process means there is a variation in colours and textures to the tiles. Celebrating the imperfections of materials and the process of making. This variation in tiles will give originality to each house. Exterior facade is to be clad in glazed fired clay tiles, to be stacked like shingles/ roof tiles. See elevation specification for application method and purpose of finish. Colours for facade to be a variation of grey/greens and catch the dramatic changes in light in northern Denmark.
