Having last played in Shetland at the Folk Festival in 2010, Väsen are making a welcome return to the Isles with their unique brand of Swedish folk music. Inspiring covers by bands like the Punch Brothers and Snarky Puppy, Väsen’s music is deeply rooted in the forests of the Swedish countryside and it's centuries-old tradition of the folk music. It's a tradition spiced with consummate playing skills. But this is more than just a traditional sound.

Bill Viola: Road to St.Paul’s (PG)
Rooney Mara and Joaquin Phoenix star this epic drama.
Sunday 25 February, 2.30pm
A young woman leaves her small fishing village and traditional family behind to join a radical new social movement, headed by a charismatic leader, Jesus of Nazareth. As the notoriety of the group spreads and more are drawn to follow Jesus' inspirational message, Mary must confront the reality of Jesus' destiny and her own place within it.
A powerful, moving portrait of the world’s most influential video artist and his wife and close collaborator, Kira Perov. The film documents Viola’s 12-year odyssey to create two permanent video installations for St Paul's Cathedral, London: Martyrs (2014) and its companion piece, Mary (2016). It’s the remarkable story of producing, filming and realising the first art commission of its kind to ever be installed in Britain’s most famous religious space.
