工藝薈萃 追求極致 鹿港魅力再現 彰化鹿港是台灣最 早開埠的幾個港口之 一，曾有「一府、二 鹿、三艋舺」之美譽， 雖然因港口淤塞失去原 有通商之功能，悠久的 歷史仍孕育出豐富歷 史、人文景觀，留下大 量的歷史古蹟和文化資 產，成為四方遊客趨之 卓縣長於龍王祭為龍船點睛
若鶩的觀光勝地。 為有效提升鹿港之
國際能見度，發展具獨特性、唯一性和話題性的觀光魅力據點，整合改善 各項軟硬體設施品質，提升國際觀光客來台旅遊的意願，本縣邀請專家學 者、在地企業家和文史工作者進行多次討論，將交通部觀光局的「競爭型 國際觀光魅力據點示範計畫」聚焦於鹿港地區，並將主軸定調為「工藝薈 萃、追求極致、鹿港魅力再現」。 經過全台各縣市政府之激烈角逐，本縣鹿港鎮脫穎而出，獲選為全國 5個最具觀光魅力的鄉鎮之一，獲得交通部觀光局2年共新台幣3億元之補 助，用以改善鹿港地區各項軟硬體旅遊設施，這本旅遊指南，也是此計畫 的一部分。因交通部觀光局對鹿港鎮之經費補助、本縣相關政府單位之努 力以及鹿港在地團體、居民之合作，使鹿港鎮於101年3月順利獲選為「臺 灣十大觀光小城」之一，足以證明鹿港令人驚豔的觀光魅力與潛力。伯源 希望透過這本旅遊指南的介紹，帶您仔細認識、體會鹿港之美，感受小鎮 的風華與魅力。 彰化縣縣長

鹿港地名的由來 鹿港原名「鹿仔港」，這個地 名的由來，有四種說法，一為鹿群 聚集之地故名鹿仔港，二為當地原 住民平埔族的閩南語發音，三是因 港灣的形狀和鹿角相似而得此名， 第四種說法是過去為米糧集散地， 而方型米倉稱之為「鹿」故得名。 早年台灣發展史上曾有「一 府、二鹿、三艋舺」之稱，「二 鹿」指的就是彰化鹿港，在清乾隆 49年至清道光末年的60多年之間， 因海運勃興而繁榮一時。

How Lukang Got Its Name Lukang used to be called Luoakang . There are four sources how Lukang got its name from the folk. The first: since Lukang used to be where deer gathered, so it was called Luoakang. The second: It was the name of the local Pinpu tribe. The third: The shape of the bay port resembled an antler. The fourth: Lukang used to be a gathering place for rice. Because the rectangle-shaped rice barn was called “Lu”, so Lukang got the name. During the early development of Taiwan, Lukang was one of Taiwan's three most important cities, enjoyed more than 60 years' prosperity as one of Taiwan's biggest trading ports.

早年台灣發展史上曾有「一 府、二鹿、三艋舺」之稱，「二 鹿」指的就是彰化鹿港，與現今的 台南安平、台北萬華共稱台灣的三 大門戶，在清乾隆49年（西元1784 年）至清道光末年的60多年之間， 因海運勃興而繁榮一時。
在台灣的歷史上，曾經是三大 城之一的鹿港因為開發的早，而且 繁榮一時，因此為後人留下了豐富 且珍貴的歷史文化資產。

Rich & Diverse Culture with Meaning The street houses in Luk ang are traditional commerce-and-residencecombined buildings. Because of the high price of land facing the street, long street houses often have narrow façades with 4.5 meters in width. The section, from the outer to the inner, includes the business façade, a god-worshipping room, rooms and storeroom, making the best use of the commerce-and-residence-combined needs. Walking around Lukang, one can see ancient buildings everywhere. Even though it was no longer prosperous, it has its own charm. Walking through big streets and small lanes of Lukang, one can enjoy watching the beauty of historic sites and temples.
