SUMMARY
!
Climate Change is measure of the change in weather conditions over long periods of time. One of the main reasons for climate change is the increase in the earth’s global average temperature. There are other factors that attribute to climate change such as the biotic processes, solar radiation, etc. Climate Change activity is monitored by “theoretical models”. These models help us record climate data and analyze effects of climate change. Through various readings on climate change and the study of different perspectives, I have taken to analyze the factors that help me formulate my beliefs on the future of climate change up until the period of 2050. I can understand that climate change is already in effect and is very real. Through the creation of diagrams based on the Alternative futures presented by the Manoa School of Thought, I have diagrammed out these events and have provided images to visually explain what they mean. I have also explained each category in detail.

Step 4
CLIMATE CHANGE GROWTH- Climate Change has a great and negative impact on economic growth. Climate Change is indeed a largely complex variable and it is hard to understand it comprehensively. Research indicates that precipitation levels will fluctuate between different countries. Some countries will be adversely affected with droughts, negatively affecting the agricultural output. Economies that rely greatly on agriculture’s economies will suffer the most due to weather conditions that deem growth unsustainable. Carbon emissions reports can be falsified and cause corruption to occur.!
ENVIRONMENTAL COLLAPSE - This is already occurring. As the average global temperature increases if nothing is done and we continue to live the way we are, we will suffer a lot. As predicted by new technologies such as climate modeling/analysis the ice caps are melting. We are also going to suffer from mass flooding as a result of this. The flooding will in effect cause destruction of land. Destruction of land will cause several problems: there will be an immediate lack of available land, relocation of individuals from inhabitable part to other areas. With the increase in population, people will have no where to go. There will be no means of obtaining food and people will rapidly die off. In order to survive many changes will have to occur.!
SUSTAINABLE ENVIRONMENT DESIGN CHANGES- This is likely to occur, understanding the new advancements happening in architecture in terms of sustainability. Architects and urban planners are highly concerned with sustainable design. It is easy to foresee new and improved designs for buildings that will protect them from the harsh environment and be designed to accommodate a new style of living. One of the improvements can be creating Super Homes. These homes will provide all the resources an individual needs to survive. The resources include, indoor farming. A sustainable practice would be growing food indoors. Food will have to be grown indoors because the weather outside will be hostile for growth of crops. Indoor green houses can simulate an outdoor environment and protect plants from air pollution and adverse weather effects. In the effort to be sustainable, global/ national participation will be necessary. If the world is taking part to help the world through sustainable practices. We may be able to reduce future impacts of climate change.!
POWER OF TECHNOLOGY -With major advancements in technology and climate modeling systems, we can already analyze the future and prepare for the worst (collapse). Technology has a huge growth rate and many environmental engineers are partaking in practices that could ultimately lower the carbon footprint and emissions. Carbon Sequestration methods can capture carbon and store it elsewhere lowering the CO2 existing in the air. Geo-engineering is another system that definitely will impact climate change. Geo-engineering works to analyze how we can reverse effects of climate change. More advancements are bound to take place. !
Ultimately the future is wary and hard to comprehend, but the advancement of new technologies and a change in attitude towards sustainable practices will ultimately help us control and minimize the effects and prevent ultimate collapse. However the economy may be thoroughly damaged in the process. We need acceptance of climate change. Government Policies and the public needs to be aware that this situation is real and can indeed have the consequences of collapse. We have no time to be in denial.!
