Booderee Botanic Gardens

At Jervis Bay Maritime Museum in Huskisson you can feed the big fish in the pond and take the boardwalk through the mangroves along Currambene Creek. There’s also a picnic area with BBQ facilites and, of course, the museum!

White Sands Park in Huskisson is a great spot to take the kids. Lots of play equipment and shade, paths for learners on bikes and trikes, BBQs, plenty of lawn to spread a blanket, and beautiful views of the bay. Coffee and icecream are a stone’s throw away - grab an icecream and walk around to the sea pool or another playground by the wharf, or take the bike track all the way to Vincentia and beyond. There’s also lovely little Sharknet Beach down behind the park.

Booderee Botanic Gardens

Moona Moona Reserve where the creek enters Jervis Bay is another pretty picnic spot. Lots of shade and shallow paddle areas for kids to explore.

Plantation Point on Jervis Bay at Vincentia has a big grassy reserve for ball games, with picnic facilities and playground and access to 2 beaches.

Booderee Botanical Gardens has beautiful picnic spots and lots of interesting walking trails. The only Aboriginal-owned botanic gardens in Australia, visitors can learn about bush tucker and medicinal plants. There are BBQs and sheltered picnic areas.

Paradise Beach Reserve and Palm Beach on St Georges Basin both have BBQ facilites and safe swimming for littlies. Nearby Clifton Park in Sanctuary Point has a playground and learner bike track with traffic lights and is a short drive from the shops.

Narawallee Inlet has a shady reserve with tables and BBQs and the creek is perfect for kids and kayaks. There are several walking tracks through the Nature Reserve.

Mick Ryan Reserve at the northern end of Milton has beautiful views of surrounding pastures and the escarpment beyond. Dominated by a huge 180 year old fig tree, the park has BBQs and a playground.
