The pocket Pin High Pro is Carl Papa’s newest golf invention.
It is now official, passing strict verification from London, that Team Pin High Pro led by Carl Papa has set a new Guinness World Record driving the most golf balls by a team in 24 hours. This was achieved at Dead Horse Lake Golf Course located off Sherrill Boulevard near Pellissippi Parkway. The entire event is recorded on video. Meticulous records were also tallied and verified. The award-winning team is: Carl Papa, Gordon Bruner, Zane Hagy, Bill Cross, Jason Nelson, John Owings, Rock Saraceni, John Roethlisberger, Mike Thompson, Tom Slagle, Jim White and Kai Thomas. If their record goes unbeaten the next few months, it will appear in the Guinness Book of World Records around January.
Forming the team was not easy. With members’ schedules different, Papa could not get all 12 together at the same time to practice. It was a challenge. “Getting everyone together at one place is very difficult,” Papa said. “So anybody that wants to break this record needs to not only have 12 crazy people, but you have to have 12 crazy people who will come together at one place at one time, and that’s a true challenge. “It was fun though, and I’m glad we did it,” he said. Papa is the president of the Tennessee Inventors Association. He invented the Pin High Pro which helps golfers with their swing. He has developed a second product recently, a pocket Pin High Pro that complements the previous product.
