Second Wednesday of the Month, 7pm Home of “Grace House Blessings” www.stpaulsuccchurch.org attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.” It is especially important that we watch, be aware of false doctrine so as to not be led astray. Ephesians 4:14 spells it out nicely, “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.” What you believe should make a difference in how you live.
Not only are we to watch out for the many temptations that can overtake us, and the false doctrine that deceives, but we are also to watch for, and look unto Christ, and
His soon return. Matthew 24:42, 44 reads, “Watch therefore; for ye know not what hour your Lord does come. Therefore be ye also ready; for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man comes.”
We are to watch that we do not fall into temptation and the sin that so easily entangles us. We are to watch so that we do not embrace false doctrine and thereby be deceived.
We are to watch and look unto Christ the author and finisher of our faith, and His soon return.
Next week, we will look into prayer and its relationship to the willing spirit and weak flesh.
