REAL Life Community Services offers people aged 60 and older fun, informational activities at their Young At Heart events. These events are held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. the first and third Wednesdays of each month at the New Adamstown Library and on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at Faith United Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denver.
Each event has coffee, conversation, crafts and/ or games and a special speaker that shares topics of interest to the group. On Tuesday, April 18, Young at Heart enjoyed a visit from State Representative David Zimmerman. He explained the process to pass a bill. He also discussed how he came to be a representative and some of the challenges he faces in that role. The group was very interested and engaged in the conversation.
