• Drop-In STEAM –Monday, May 8, drop-in from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math through games, activities, and projects with Miss Maribeth. This month’s activities include Designing and Building a bird house and creating a gift for Mother’s Day. An adult is required to accompany children under 8.

• Genealogy Group –Tuesday, May 9 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This group meets at the library on the second Tuesday of each month for lively discussions, research help or short talks from genealogy researcher Ken McCrea. For older students and adults.
• Craft Workshop – Thursday, May 11 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. If you’re interested in crafting and spending time with others in a fun and relaxing atmosphere, this free workshop is for you. May’s activity will be crochet. Come to learn and participate in their project, or feel free to bring whatever you’re working on. For adults and older teens. Registration is requested.
• Creating Pollinator Habitat in Your Yard –Thursday, May 11 at 6:30 p.m. Gardens of any size, from pots on a balcony to acres of land, can support and host a wide variety of pollinators and other beneficial insects. Learn what pollinators need to thrive, how your garden can meet their needs, and practical tips to make the most of your space. You just might find new ways to enjoy your garden! Presented by Master Gardener, Adam Barkafski. For adults and teens.
• Teen Take and Make Packet Pickup (Parachute Pipe Cleaner Person) –Monday, May 15, while supplies last. Get creative with their ready-to-go kits! Check here each month to see what you can learn to make with just a few simple materials, provided to you at no cost, and a few easy instructions. Supplies are limited, so stop by to claim your bag today!
• Almost Perfect Crimes –Tuesday, May 16 at 6:30 p.m. on Zoom. Join Miss Jess as they discover together “Whodunit!” Upon registration, you will receive the Zoom link and the Mini Murder Mystery Story. Additional clues and evidence will be revealed during the meeting as they try to solve the crime together. For ages teen/adult due to some graphic content.
• Food & Wine Pairing Dinner – Thursday, May 18 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at IronSpire. Featuring a 5-course meal with expert wine pairings by Chef John Moeller. There is a cost for tickets. Proceeds Benefit the Adamstown Area Library. Tickets may be purchased online through Adamstown AreaLibrary.org or at the library.
• Library Closed – Saturday, May 27 through Monday, May 29. The library will be closed for Memorial Day.
• Springtime Bingo – Now through Wednesday, May 31. Children’s Early Literacy Bingo (ages 3-9) and Self Care Bingo (ages 1018). Pick up a Bingo sheet in the library and return by Wednesday, May 31 to claim your prize.
• Guess the Book in the Jar - All month. One of the most popular children’s books has been loved to pieces. Can you Guess the title of the book in the jar? Answer will be revealed at the end of the month (all ages).
• Farm I SPY Window Game – Stop in at the library to “spy with your little eye” all the fun things on the window. List of items changes weekly. When you finish, come inside to receive your congratulatory sticker. Also, be sure to read the story on the window next to the outside ramp. Tell the staff the answer to the question for a prize.
• MJWK (Miss Jess wants to Know) - all month. Teens, they want your opinion! Stop in the Young Adult and Teen Graphic Novel Book Section of the library for the
