The Eastern Lancaster County (ELANCO) Library is located at 11 Chestnut Drive, New Holland. Hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Seeks Donations of Used Children’s Books in Good Condition. Do you have children’s books your family has outgrown or no longer wants? Are you downsizing and reorganizing? Would you like to make sure your old children’s books go to a good home? ELANCO

Library needs used children’s books in good condition to sell at Friends of the Library book sales and to give away to young readers! Please feel free to drop off donations used children’s books in good condition at the library any time we are open.

• Critters of All Kinds with Forgotten Friend Reptile Sanctuary - Tuesday, August 1 at 1:30 p.m. Our planet is home to critters of all kinds! Each animal has its own ecological niche, which is their special assignment on planet Earth. Come laugh and learn with Jesse Rothacker and his reptile friends and discover how critters of all kinds work together to make one great big world. Recommended for school-aged children. No registration is required!

• Kitchen Chemistry with Lancaster Science Factory - Wednesday, August 2 at 10:30 a.m. Explore chemical reactions using common, household ingredients and learn about acid-base reactions, decomposition chemistry, pressure and gas, and chromatography. (Things may get messy, so dress accordingly!)
