BOOSE ALUMINUM FOUNDRY CO., INC.
What We Do Here Matters!
Since 1933, Boose Aluminum Foundry Co., Inc. (BAF) has been providing Americanmade quality aluminum sand castings to their loyal customers in the military, medical, robotics, power generation, and commercial sectors. Started by Oran B. Boose and his wife, Kathryn, the company cast and painted small trivets, toys and knickknacks.
In the 1940s and 1950s, BAF grew several times. World War II and the Korean War put greater demands on the expanding market for high quality aluminum sand castings; BAF met the challenge, being awarded the Navy “E” for excellence. Oran had a dream to produce and ship 1,000,000 pounds of aluminum castings during a single year. Unfortunately, that dream was not realized until 1977, 12 years after his death. His wife, Kathryn, and son, Vernon, had taken over the business and were preparing for the future of the company, with hopes of carving an even greater niche for itself worldwide.
In the 1990s, BAF installed a thermal reclamation system to make the no-bake sand recyclable. This resulted in a number of positive environmental impacts: reduction of wastes into landfills and conservation of valuable natural resources. Through the 2000s came several new pieces of equipment and upgraded technology. However, in early 2022 a fire destroyed a large portion of the plant. BAF rebounded quickly and began operations within a month after the fire.
BAF takes great pride in the work they do because they know that what they do at BAF matters. The company proudly remains family-owned and operated. BAF is located at 77 North Reamstown Road, Stevens. PA 17578-9493. They can be reached at 717-336-5581 or visit their website at www.boosealum.com.

THE ROBERT M. LOMBARD HYPERBARIC OXYGENATION MEDICAL CENTER, INC.
Hyperbaric oxygenation therapy + Pulsed Electro-
Magnetic Field Therapy = a powerful combination!
Hyperbaric oxygenation therapy (HBOT) is a prescribed medical treatment. A patient breathes pure oxygen in a sealed chamber while the surrounding pressure is increased to a therapeutic level. The increase in pressure dissolves oxygen into the bloodstream and all the fluids of the body. The treatment triggers hundreds of internal biological processes, builds tiny new blood vessels, boosts the immune system and stem cell production, adversely affects many microbes and reduces inflammation and low oxygen areas in the body. This can have a positive impact on a wide range of diagnoses and conditions. Radiation-induced injuries and non-healing diabetic wounds, among other maladies, can be healed with minimal surgical intervention. Other diagnoses can be positively helped with HBOT when traditional medicine needs a boost. When antibiotics alone can’t cure a Lyme disease infection, under hyperbaric oxygenation conditions, the Lyme bacteria can’t survive. The immune system cleans up the dead bacteria and the body begins to repair the damage caused by the bacteria. HBOT can be life changing for patients.
Current studies are underway and show the positive impact hyperbaric oxygenation has had on long-haul COVID-19 patients. HBOT reduces inflammation, repays the lingering ‘oxygen debt’ and initiates healing of previously impacted areas. Patients with reduced cognitive performance (“brain fog”), extreme fatigue, and headaches, among other symptoms, report improvement in their symptoms.
Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field Therapy (PEMF) is a non-invasive therapy that helps improve circulation, energy balance, and nutrient uptake. We offer the combination of therapies for the health benefits of our patients.
We are an outpatient clinic that uses 100% oxygen in monoplace chambers. The Nursing Director, Connie Waltz, RN, has over 40 years of experience in the field. For information, please call 717-684-3228, visit HBOXYGEN.COM, or email: hboxygen@earthlink.net. Business hours are by appointment. 255 N. 6th Street, Columbia, PA 17512.
