other as the best in a given field. Votes are tallied as they come in to us and prizes are awarded according to the count. In many cases that count is very close. So it’s important to remember that absence from the Readers’ Choice winners’ list or change in ranking from one year to another is not an indicator that anything has changed with a given business or person.
Likewise, you can assume that every business to receive recognition has a genuine support base of loyal customers. They should all feel proud no matter whether they came in 1st, 2nd or 3rd. Ludington’s Stearns Park beach earned the most votes as the favorite place to watch a sunset. This is the second year a bonfire has been organized at the Ludington beach. Last year, there was one sunset bonfire. This year they were held each month during the summer. Plans are to continue the popular community event next year, too.
