Bloomin’ Eck!
Rationale
“Those bloomin’ creatives have been at it again! Making things we haven’t thought of, coming out with original ideas, getting up to creative shenanigans whilst we’re here scratching our heads, fresh out of ideas.”
This title has a dual meaning, firstly it implies that this work is at it’s highest, most impressive quality as the exhibitors are ‘blooming’ and blossoming into young professionals. Secondly it suggests that the ‘creatives’ in question have been up to something that you don’t know about, but can find out about by coming to the exhibition.
Building on this concept the idea of ‘blooming’ can be justified by likening our time at college as seeds growing in a healthy environment. The students being the seeds, the College being the soil and the tutoring being sunlight and water.

Posters, Billboards : Promotion
Public Promotion We created this typographic piece from individual petals and photographed it from a birds eye view, this natural and hand crafted design stands out against the vastly digital posters that can be seen around Leeds. This design will be used for large format uses such as billboards and poster towers.

Guerilla Promotion & Interactive Elements
Guerilla Promotion To catch the inquisitive, creative eye of the audience that would attend the exhibition we are proposing that plant identification labels be stuck in the ground/ soil by various foliage around Leeds. This would be very cost effective and would create buzz around the event.
QR Codes As well as outdoor locations, the tags would be placed in hanging baskets by pubs and house plants in local cafe’s. Larger versions of these will also appear on tree’s to strengthen the campaign.
There will also be a QR code on these which, when scanned, will open a map that directs the user to Leeds College of Art and gives more information about the event.

General Public Promotion *
Included in the mail out for prospective attendants is an A2 fold out poster with the main image on the front and additional information on the reverse. Inside the folded poster will be a handful of silk petals that fall out as the poster is opened.
For general, budget, promotion this A5 postcard/ flier will be produced which features the digital logo along with basic information.

E-Flier To view the E-Flier in motion visit: www.thosebloomincreatives.tumblr.com The idea for the E-Flier is that initially the viewer will see a heap of petals, hands will then remove the petals leaving the typography behind. This could also be developed into an interactive E-flier in which the users cursor

removes petals as it is moved around the image. When the animation has finished the user scrolls down through the flier to receive the remainder of the information.
