Container for Bamboo Biochar Deodorizer This project required us to design a container for a new bamboo biochar deodorizer which was going to launch in the market in Malaysia. This is a individual project and given 14 weeks to complete it. bq bamboo biochar deodorizer is targeted to place at restaurant, cafe, kitchen etc. Picture beside shows the deodorizer placed in a rustic style cafe and BBQ restaurant in picture below.

Ideation The design is inspired by the oil barrel which usually recycled and used as a barbecue stove. This container is used for storing and keeping the bamboo biochar. Biochar is charcoal made by biomass via pyrolysis. Natural lump charcoal is used as the fuel source in some BBQ activities. The relation between the charcoal and oil barrel which used as barbecue stove is inseperated. Hence, the oil barrel and activity barbecue is the subject matter of this container.

Concept and Criteria Concept of miniature is applied to the design of the bamboo biochar deodorizer container. At the same time, the container act as a toothpick holder other than container for deodorizer. Besides, the five elements in Chinese, which are metal, wood, water, fire and Earth in the design consideration.

Model Making Process This part explained how the prototype of the bamboo biochar deodorizer container is done. The materials used in making this container are PVC board, perspect, smartphone holder (iring), foam, water ripple plastic cover, sprays, super glue etc.

PINO Puzzle Game
PINO puzzle game is a conceptual educational toy for kids 4 years and above. The toy is aimed to develop children’s psychomotor and creativity skill. This is a group project with 14 weeks. This project is in cooperation with SUNTA Toys Sdn. Bhd.

The logo above is the trademark for our toys. The interlocking between the alphabet p i n o is similar to the interlocking system in the puzzle. The logo is colourful with primary and secondary colours as colour is one of the attraction for kids. 15
What is in the Puzzle Game? EVA Foam Puzzle Mat There are 25 pieces of puzzle mat in a set of the toy. The mat is printed with numbering and different landscape, for example, soil, sand, water, grass and concrete. The mats are labeled with 1 to 25 in number. No rules and sequences when assemble the mats.
Cards There are two stack of cards, puzzle card and blocks card which indicates different nstructions. Puzzle cards is red in colour and labeled with number 1 to 25 which same as in the puzzle mats in term of colour and style, so children are able to recognize and differenciate it easily. The puzzle card indicates which of the puzzle mat the children will be in. Blocks card is blue in colour with numbering 3 to 10. The block cards indicate the EVA Foam Blocks that children will take to build their creativity.
EVA Foam Blocks In the toy set, children will be have 5 sets of 14 different foam blocks. The foam blocks is vary in shape and colour.
Chessman One set of toys set will have 4 chessman in the package. The chessman is for children to draw some character like teacher, kids, doctor, lawyer etc. on it. It is wipeable when using non-permenant marker.

How to PLAY?
Setting Up 1. Assemble Puzzle Mats

2. Ready the Puzzle Mat, Cards, Foam Blocks, Chessman and some NonPermenant Markers.
1. Each children take turns to play, maximum 4 players. 2. Before building the “world�, children must choose one card from puzzle cards and blocks cards. The puzzle card indicates the puzzle mat they will be with the specific landscape. The blocks card indicates the number of blocks that they will take. Repeat this step every turns. 3. Children need to build something related to the specific landscape, for example, flower can be build on soil becuse it need soil to grow and blossom; children can also combine the landscape beside the chosen landscape, the sand + water can imaginate it as beach, trees, boat, villa etc can be built in the beach. 4. Build until all the puzzle mats is full. 5. The chessman can be drawn and used whenever necessary.

MillCurve MillCurve is a indoor bench target to be sited in The Curve shopping mall. The name MillCurve come from the word “millipede in The Curve�. This is a group project that required to complete in 14 weeks.

Ideation and Concept MIllcurve that come from “ millipede in The Curve” obviously was inspired by millipede. What hide behind the design is, coral shell is the subject matter as well.
Millipede / Segmentation Millipede normally can find in moist environment. The millipede will coil up when it get disturbed or threatened. It’s body become a spiral when it coil up, That’s it why millipede is chosen as well in the design. If you observe the millipede carefully, you will realize the body maybe flattened or cylindrical and composed of numerous metemeric segments. Segmentation is another element in the design of Millcurve from millipede.

Coral Shell / Circular & Hard The whorl on coral shell is spiral and circular. The curvy line on the whorl is similar to the design in The Curve. Hence, coral shell is chose as the subject matter. Beside, coral shell is an exoskeleton animal live in the water with an outer layer of shell. The shell is hard so that the shell able to protect the animal. Another element that applied into the design is the toughness of the shell.

The bench can be combine into various shape and length with extra some more same benches. The pictures show some example of the arrangement with the concept of segmentation.

Concept of Segmentation When the bench comes in few quantities, the bench can be arranged in few ways either in a circular or making it become curvy line. When the bench comes in two, it can arranged to become a semi-circle or a curvy line. It happen so to three benches as well. When the bench comes in four or more, it only can arranged in curvy line or else seperate it into two.

- Final Model - It is a indoor bench -the inner circle seat fit for 1 to 2 people; the outer circle seat fit 3 to 4 people. - for much more people sitting, it can combine the two bench together as the previous page shown.

Model Making It’s a ergonomic handheld project. I chose torchlight as the subject of my design. The torchlight is rechargabe with the USB port. The material for this torchlight model are jelutung wood, acrylic sheet, light bulb, battery, wires and eva foam.

This project require us to choose a kitchen appliances and contruct a exactly same model with the skills and materials learnt. What had I choose is Eggplus eggmaster. The pictures above are the real product while pictures below are the model that I made.
