Work Sample Portfolio This document contains project samples from my professional and academic experience. The first few pages contain GIS Maps created for various academic studies. A project of note is City Re’Bus’ – an analytical appraisal of Chennai’s Bus Transit system. Siddharth Sivakumar, Master of City & Regional Planning Candidate, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia.
The image below is a concept visual of a farmhouse project from 2018 situated in the Blue Mountains hill range in India.
This forms preliminary analyses for determination of school zones based on income of various neighbourhoods for sidewalk equity assessment project.
Determining Street Connectivity Index This map is part of preliminary analyses to determine the relation between transit accessibility of various census tracts as opposed to road network metrics. Here a connectivity index is established for the three-county Atlanta region by calculating a parameter based on road intersection points and line segments. We see that DeKalb county has a higher index number thereby allowing better vehicle accessibility. It informs larger statistical regression project on transit equity.
Sai University Master Plan This project undertaken during my tenure at Natraj & Venkat Architects was shortlisted as one amongst the top eight entries. A greenfield development, the planning tasks involved setting an urban design language, zoning, determining road and biking pathways and green scape development. Several visual samples from the project have been showcased here.
The façade language is restricted to brick and exposed concrete with greenscape features incorporated within the various buildings. The zoning is predominantly split along curved nodes that trace the slope of the site to the nearby river. A series of nodes are determined based on location to improve cross links that encourage interaction and community spaces.
