The Mid-Atlantic Games are a great one-day introduction to the Maccabi experience, with an opening ceremony and competitions! SHLICHIM + SHINSHINIM PROGRAM
Through our Shlichim and Millie & Larry Magid Shinshinim Program, we have brought a taste of Israel to Long Island. Serving as a living bridge between our community and Israel, Shlichim are professional Israeli emissaries who live abroad for a period of 2-3 years to bring contemporary Israel to di erent age groups through programs and personal relationships.
Shinshinim are Israeli high school graduates who voluntarily defer their military service to spend one year promoting Israeli engagement and awareness throughout the community.
