He started coaching in 1972 with the junior varsity at Siena. Since then, he coached at St. Rose (1973-86), Sage (1990-2003) and Hudson Valley (2013-present). Mike was inducted into the St. Rose, Bishop Maginn, New York State Capital District, and Sage Athletic Hall of Fames. In 2013, he was awarded the Sam Perkins Sportsmanship Award.

As deputy comptroller, Hasso, CPA, CGFM, CGMA, will oversee the bureaus of: State Accounting Operations, Financial Reporting & Oil Spill Remediation and State Payroll Services, as well as the Office of Unclaimed Funds. During his 42 years at the Comptroller’s office, he has served in multiple positions, including most recently as an assistant comptroller.

He is a five-time USATF Masters Cross Country Runner of the year while also winning the Albany Corporate Challenge 14 times, the Troy Turkey Trot eight times, and the Schenectady Stockadeathon seven times. Tom was inducted into the Siena Athletic Hall of Fame in 1985, and still actively competes.

This Coming of Age tale is told through the eyes of fifteen year old Arty who lies about his age in order to enlist and subsequently experiences the horrors of war while forming strong, lasting bonds with his fellow soldiers. Block Books in Troy. Kevin also published an article for The Band of B rothers Tours website/publication and co-wrote an article for the G ranville, NY Sentinel. Kevin’s written work is a tribute to his late uncle whose memory he strives to keep alive. Congratulations Kevin! There were also some mini-reunions this past year organized by long-time Siena friends who couldn’t attend our 35th reunion. Amy Anderson-Reid, Connie Papa Stutliff and Lynne Savage Saddler, all gathered at Siena. Amy lives in Schenectady with her husband and son and runs a private counseling practice. Connie lives in California with her husband and son and teaches HS AP chemistry. Lynne lives in Kentucky with her husband and teenage twins where she directs a health department in Cincinnati. And there were more friends who stay in touch and attended a minireunion in North Carolina: Denise Hinkle Hernigle, Gail Trombley Grieger, Sharon Elser Sullivan, and Mary Stack Covert. I was fortunate to meet up with Jack a few months ago. Jack was one of the first people I met at Siena as we were paired up as roommates for our orientation program in the summer of 1996 and it was a fantastic evening spent reminiscing and telling stories. Stephen DeSalvo started a new job this past August as the chief development officer/ vice president of institutional advancement at Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology. Stephen and his wife Amanda are still living in Queens with daughter Sienna (7) and son Giavanna (4), but with the new job his commute is now just an easy five 46

Patrick Farley was selected as Martin County (FL) Teacher of the Year. He went on to be one of just five state finalists. Patrick is a 5th grade teacher at Crystal Lake Elementary School in Stuart, Florida. At the 2019 National Security Awards Dinner in Chicago, Molly Scullin received an award for her role in assisting the FBI Dulles Joint Terrorism Task Force in the investigation and p rosecution of a terrorist who was plotting to conduct a mass shooting at a local shopping mall. Molly has been with the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division since 2010, and has received numerous other awards and citations from the Department of J ustice, including an award for “ recognition of her exemplary service, contribution and commitment to the prosecution of those responsible for the attacks of September 11, and her continued dedication to the FBI’s counterterrorism mission.”

Kristen Pellati graduated from the Elizabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in May, 2018. She was admitted to the New York State Bar in December 2018, and the Bar of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York in March 2019. Kristen is an attorney at Blanchard and Wilson LLP, while earning her LLM in Land Use and Sustainable Development Law. She is on a full scholarship as the Land Use Law Fellow at the Elizabeth Haub School of Law, where she is on track to graduate in May 2020. Matthew Lorini accepted a position as a confidential law clerk at the Colonie Justice Court.
