INTRODUCTION

Sigma Alpha Epsilon promises friendship across the Realm throughout all stages of life. In fact, the mission statement specifically says, “to advance the highest standards of friendship, scholarship, leadership, and service for our members throughout life.”

This handbook is a resource for Area Alumni Associations, House Corporations, Province Archons, and affinity groups. Within it are event ideas that vary in complexity and formality, steps to planning successful events, and considerations, including goal setting and measuring outcomes. Whether you are an event novice working solo or a seasoned planner with a committee of volunteers, this handbook serves as your guide to create events that bring members together and meet your group’s goals.
