We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant who is able to inspire and motivate pupils and be able to support the school’s Christian ethos. This is a full-time post, with mornings dedicated to one-to-one support for a SEN pupil, and afternoons providing targeted support for children with a range of needs. Applicants will be expected to have a minimum of NVQ2 in Teaching and Learning or equivalent. This post is temporary due to future budgetary restraints. We require a person to work with children with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder, across both Key Stages 1 and 2. You will be supporting the academic, social and communication needs of individuals in the Support Centre, leading to inclusion in mainstream classes. For this you will need to be well organised, enthusiastic, caring, have a good sense of humour and have experience of working with children with a diagnosis of ASD. 0.57FTE Teaching Assistant (Level 1) NJC Grade B (temporary) The post holder is required to work for 15 hours per week, to work with a pupil in the nursery, who has complex communication and interaction needs. There will be a requirement to provide intimate care. This position is temporary as funding is reviewed each term. The ideal candidate will have an NVQ3, experience of working one to one with pupils with SEN and demonstrate a willingness to work as part of a team.

Meal-time Assistant NJC Grade A (temporary) The post holder is required to work for 5.4 hours per week (12.15pm to 1.15pm daily) to support a pupil, who has sensory, physical and communication needs recognised with a Statement of Educational Need. The person needs to be self-motivated and able to plan and manage administer the programme. Both people appointed will need to be flexible, hardworking and energetic. Previous weeks Herald Listing Plymouth Association of Primary Heads

We propose to place an advertisement in The Herald each week to point applications at The Schools’ Post Website. This will help to generate more enquires to the site and therefore increase the number of hits. There will be an additional charge for each position that is listed (The more schools that use it - the cheaper it is). The estimated cost of this additional charge ranges from £50 to £70 for each position, depending on the amount of positions advertised. A minimum of 2 positions will have to be advertised to ensure these rates can be offered.
