Les festivités pour le 90ème anniversaire de SIGNIS commencent ! * La CPA devient membre de notre association.

Aujourd’hui sera une journée particulière, pleine de moments importants, dont la projection du film Silence, la venue du réalisateur Martin Scorsese, de nombreuses sessions, ainsi qu’une messe et un banquet, tout ceci en compagnie de nos collègues de la Conférence annuelle des médias catholiques, de l’Association de la presse catholique des Etats Unis et du Canada (CPA). A toutes ces activités, s’ajoutent le début des célébrations pour les 90 ans de SIGNIS et la vague de messages d’espérance que nous avons partagés durant notre congrès. Nous ne sommes plus, et ne serons plus, les mêmes ; tout comme notre association, qui ne sera plus la même après ces quelques jours, puisque jeudi nous accueillerons cinq nouveaux membres. Nous accueillons avec une joie fraternelle la CPA, avec qui nous partagerons ce jour, avant de débuter notre histoire commune. La rédaction

We are no longer, nor will we ever, be the same. Our association will also not be the same after this event, that will end this Thursday, with the integration of five new members. Nosotros ya no somos, ni seremos los mismos; ni nuestra asociación será la misma después de esta jornada que terminará este jueves, con la integración de cinco nuevos miembros. Le 12 avril 2016, SIGNIS a perdu l’une de ses figures phares : Robert Molhant. Lors de la journée d’ouverture du congrès mondial de SIGNIS 2017, un hommage lui a été rendu. Son ami, Théo Peporte, a déclaré que « s'il y avait un communicateur qui maitrisait la communication directe, face to face, c'était lui. » Sa femme, Irène Vanderperren, a expliqué à l’assemblée ce qu’était SIGNIS pour Robert : « Après avoir été dirigeant du Mouvement Patro pour la jeunesse au plan local, ensuite national, Robert a été engagé à l’OCIC par mademoiselle de Hemptine, qui avait dirigé l’OCIC avant lui. Elle a aidé Robert à faire ses premiers pas dans le monde des organisations catholiques d’adultes, bien différent de monde de la jeunesse… Tout existait déjà tellement lentement… beaucoup trop pour un impatient.
