Il merito della vita non sta nella quantità dei giorni, ma nell’uso che ne facciamo di essi. Con questo spirito e con questa filosofia abbiamo da quasi cinquant’anni contribuito al “design urbano made in italy”. La nostra storia si vuole riassumere in poche righe, testimone di passione, cultura e tradizione. Ci piace pensare alla nostra azienda come ad un terreno fertile dove continuamente si è seminato e ancora oggi si semina, per poter coltivare nuove idee, e nuove tendenze, alla ricerca continua del “bello che piace” e che contribiusca in maniera positiva a rendere il “viaggio della nostra vita” più unico e confortevole possibile. Ecco...Questo siamo noi!
The substance of life doesn’t lie in the amount of days but in the use we make of them. In this spirit and this philosophy we have for almost fifty years contributed to the urban design made in Italy. Our story is summed us in a few lines, a witness of passion, culture, tradition. Claudia e Andrea si sono trasferiti in campagna quando la loro famiglia iniziò ad allargarsi, con la nascita dei loro figli. “Vivevamo vicini al mare” ricorda Claudia, “avevamo la spiaggia non lontana da casa, ma la scelta di trasferirci nell’entroterra si è rivelata molto positiva. Qui gli spazi si sono ampliati, il giardino circonda tutta la villa e in ogni stanza abbiamo messo grandi finestre che portano la natura in casa.”. L’amore per il mare si riflette anche nell’arredamento che la famiglia ha scelto per la cucina, infatti la tinta della dispensa e dei pensili è il turchese, colore delle onde e dei grandi specchi d’acqua. Il piano cottura è il protagonista della stanza, con i suoi elementi in acciaio scuro che si staccano dal marmo bianco di Carrara, proponendosi così come elemento dominante, da cui si prolunga un tavolo-penisola in pietra. “L’insieme e i dettagli fan sì che questa cucina ci ricordi piacevolmente il mare e le sue scogliere” dice Andrea. had the beach not far from home, but the choice to move inland has been very positive. Here the spaces are expanded, the garden surrounds the house and in every room we put large windows that bring nature into the house.� The love for the sea is reflected also in the furniture of the kitchen, the colour of the pantry and the wall cabinets is the turquoise, the colour of the waves and the wide stretches of water. The stovetop is the protagonist of the room, with its steel elements that are detached from the white marble, presenting itself as the dominant element, from which extends a stone peninsula. “The whole and the details of the kitchen pleasantly remind us of the sea and the cliffs� says Andrea.

Viola vive per la cucina, nel vero senso della parola: critica gastronomica, la sua più grande passione è scoprire nuovi piatti e nuove combinazioni che possano stupire anche i palati più raffinati. Amante dei viaggi, ha imparato a fare propri i trucchi e i segreti dei cuochi che ha conosciuto nel suo errare in giro per il mondo. La sua personalità, così eclettica e allo stesso tempo lineare, si rispecchia nell’ambiente della cucina, che ha uno stile minimal corredato da dettagli originali, come le maniglie Darling, che sembrano muoversi nell’ampio spazio. L’apparente semplicità dei singoli componenti ottiene un effetto di estrema eleganza, un vero palcoscenico per i piatti che Viola cucina, tutti a base di ingredienti naturali, scelta che si ritrova anche nei materiali dei mobili, che rimandano all’integrità della natura. Viola lives for cook: she is a food critic and her passion is to find new dishes and new taste combinations. She loves traveling and during her trips she learned tricks and secrets from chefs of all around the world. Her personality is eclectic and at the same time linear, and it is reflected in the furnishing of the kitchen, which has a minimal style equipped with original details, such as the Darling handles, that seem to move in the space. The apparent simplicity of the single elements draws an effect of elegance, it seems a stage for the dishes that Viola cooks. All the food she cooks has natural ingredients, and this kind of choice is also in the furniture, which has natural materials.

Riccardo, giovane broker, è una persona semplice e ordinata, ama le forme lineari ed essenziali, ma non disprezza il colore e gli elementi che possono sorprendere. La cucina perfetta per lui è costituita da superfici lisce ed uniformi, da verticalizzazioni funzionali e da incastri organizzati. Non mancano però dettagli singolari, come le maniglie Prisma che sembrano torcersi, e come i ripiani di diverse dimensioni e di un acceso colore arancione. La lunga penisola, che si protende dal piano cottura, diventa il luogo perfetto per colazioni e brunch da condividere con gli amici. Il legno dei mobili e dei cassetti dona calore alla stanza, creando un’atmosfera di serenità e di assonanza con la natura, così apparentemente irraggiungibile in una metropoli come quella in cui Riccardo vive. The perfect kitchen for him consists of smooth and uniform

surfaces, of functional verticalizations and organized joints. There are also unique details, such as the Prisma handles that seem to twist, and as the orange shelves of different sizes. The long peninsula, that juts out from the stoves, becomes the perfect place to share breakfast and brunch with friends. The wood of the furniture and the drawers gives warmth to the room, creating an atmosphere of serenity and assonance with nature.

“Per la nostra cucina ho scelto i colori della macchia mediterranea: manca solo il profumo del rosmarino selvatico e sembrerebbe di essere veramente in mezzo ad un boschetto!” scherza Isabel. Lei e il marito Giacomo sono una coppia di designer, stravaganti eppure amanti dell’ordine, che hanno scelto una cucina che rispecchia alla perfezione il loro stile: le linee orizzontali si incontrano con quelle verticali, creando incastri geometrici e allo stesso tempo inaspettati. I vari mobili sembrano quasi in movimento, perché i due designer hanno deciso di posizionarli su piani diversi, sollevandone alcuni da terra, e unendoli con pensili che creano l’illusione degli oggetti sospesi a mezz’aria. Anche le maniglie Trend dei mobili riprendono questo effetto, infatti sembrano dei prolungamenti sospesi delle ante. Le finiture dei mobili si sposano alla perfezione con la spiaggia che si trova fuori dalla porta della loro casa: il legno delle basi, dal colore tenue, ricorda i lecci, il verde dei pensili richiama la salvia spontanea e le colonne le rocce su cui crescono gli arbusti. Un abbraccio perfetto tra natura e design, tra funzionalità e leggerezza. “For our kitchen I chose the Mediterranean scrub’s colours, it seems to be inside the shrubs!” says Isabel. Her husband and she are designers, and they preferred an extravagant and at the same time tidy kitchen, as their style is: the horizontal lines clash with the vertical ones, creating geometrical and unexpected gaps. The furniture seems to move because it is positioned on different levels, some pieces are lifted from the floor, and it is united by wall units, that create the illusion of suspended objects. The finishes blend perfectly with the beach that is immediately outside their house: the light colour of the bases’ wood refers to the oaks, the green wall units look like the spontaneous sage and the columns recall the rocks on which the shrubs grow. A perfect embrace between nature and design, functionality and lightness.

Una carica di energia positiva scaturisce da questa stanza, lo spazio è ben organizzato per accogliere piccoli e grandi, chi dietro ai fornelli e chi in impaziente attesa seduto sugli sgabelli della penisola. “Il colore giallo delle mensole è piaciuto immediatamente ai nostri bambini e noi abbiamo ritenuto perfetto accostarlo al legno materico della penisola” dice Enrica. I dettagli moderni, come le maniglie Shard, e i componenti tecnologici, si fondono in un insieme funzionale e dinamico con i materiali, che ricordano i mobili più tradizionali. “La cucina per la nostra famiglia non è solo un luogo dove mangiare, ma anche uno spazio da vivere insieme” dice Giovanni.

Entering the kitchen of Giovanni and Enrica’s family means to be overwhelmed by color and liveliness. A charge of positive energy flows from this room, the space is well organized to accommodate those behind the stoves and those waiting impatiently next to the peninsula. “Our children immediately liked the yellow colour of the shelves, and we felt perfect to approach it to the rough wood of the peninsula” says Enrica. The modern details, such as the Shard handles, and the technologic components, blend together functionally and dynamically with materials that resemble the traditional furniture. “For our family the kitchen is not just a place to eat, but also a space to live together” says Giovanni.
