Silversea Expeditions have one of the highest expedition personnel-to-guest ratios in all of expedition cruising. Drawing on our deep connections worldwide, every voyage features a team of 11 to 28 qualified specialists – naturalists, scientists, ornithologists, glaciologists – with expertise tailored to the wildlife, wilderness, and culture of a specific region.

As a young expedition leader early on in my career, I spent many wonderful summers in the Arctic and fell in love with its grandeur, scenery, vast ice fields, and the hospitality of the local communities. Curated specifically for each itinerary, Expedition Team members range from biologists and ornithologists to geologists, historians and photographers. They make sure every adventure you go on is thoroughly taken care of, so your experience is always something to post online before the day is over.

Zodiac Cruising

There’s nothing quite like the sight of animals in the wild or the awe of millions of birds nesting on towering cliffs – especially when witnessed with the unique perspectives afforded on a Zodiac excursion. Our Expedition Team members will get you close to the action, all you have to do is climb aboard.

Group Hikes
