The TAY ENG SOON LIBRARY (HQ Library) is dedicated to the reading and research needs of SIM members
and students registered with SIM programmes.
Library Hours
Mondays to Fridays: Saturdays:
8.30 am – 9.00 pm
9.00 am – 5.30 pm
(The library is closed on Sundays and Public Holidays.)
Library Membership 1.
SIM Individual Members
All SIM individual members are extended library facilities provided their SIM membership is current. Individual members are required to produce the SIM membership card when borrowing materials.

SIM Corporate Members
Staff of SIM corporate members are required to produce the following documents to authenticate their employment with the company: (a)
IC and a letter from the HR Department, OR
(b) IC and staff identification pass (with photograph). Each applicant is also required to complete an application card for library membership. SIM corporate members must produce their staff identification pass when borrowing materials. 3.
SIM Students
Students holding SIM individual membership or SIM corporate membership are extended library facilities provided their SIM membership is current.

All books borrowed must be returned by the date stipulated on the date due slip. For the
convenience of members “Book Return” box to return books when the library is closed is located at
the entrance to UniSIM admin. office at ground level at Blk 82. You may also return books at the
automated book drop at the entrance of the Tay Eng Soon Library. Books borrowed from MH Library may also be returned at HQ Library and vice versa. 5.
Members must report damaged / loss of library books immediately to the library staff. Members are
liable to pay for the current cost of book plus an administrative fee of $16.05 (inclusive of 7% GST). Out of print books will be charged at a flat rate of $100 (inclusive of 7% GST).

Use of AV Materials
Facilities are available in the library for use of AV materials.
Use of Online Databases & Internet Surfing Facilities 1.
Members can access online databases and surf the internet at the library.

Off-campus/remote access to selected online databases are available to SIM students and individual members.
Notebooks
Free notebook usage (for first two hours only) is available in the library. Please consult library staff for assistance.
Discussion Rooms 1.
There are 6 discussion rooms located on Level 1, Annex Building.

Printing
Members may do their printing at any PC station at the CyberXpress (Level 1 & 2), in the Cyberstation
(Level 1) and in the Photocopy Room, and retrieve their print jobs from the nearest Print Release Station.
