I got the opportunity to sit down with him to find out how he does all of his videos and when he started playing the Sims. Wambels
SulziSim: Tell us more about who Wambels is.
Hey everyone, I'm Wambels! I started my Youtube channel around 6 years ago with some speed builds and create a sim video that I did in The Sims 4, and I'm a huge fan of other games as well (such as Minecraft and Cities
Skylines)
SulziSIm: When did you start playing The Sims?
I started playing The Sims 11 years ago, which is crazy how much time has passed since! I first discovered the game (The
Sims 3) in a games store, thinking it was a city-building game. I was really surprised at the game, as it was a bit overwhelming for me, but I've spent days playing it nonstop! I consider it my childhood game and my favorite game of all time.
SulziSim: On your YouTube channel, you have a lot of building videos. What got you into the building and not much gameplay?
Surprisingly I was playing with a lot of households when I first started playing the game, I wasn't really a fan of building. But after spending a few years playing the game and learning more about architecture, I fell in love with build mode. The build mode in The Sims 4 has only motivated me to

build more because it's so easy to do it in the game.
My favorite building style has to be modern! I can look for hours at pictures of modern houses on the internet. I'm just amazed by the possibilities and the simplicity of the structures. Also, they always look so
good in The Sims 4.
SulziSim: You have recently done some room builds. Have you enjoyed creating rooms in comparison to a larger build?
Recently I've been focusing on smaller builds because it's more fun for me to build them than bigger builds. Personally, bigger builds are very tiring to build, so I tend to avoid them. But sometimes when I have the time and creativity, I build something a bit bigger.
SulziSim: What is your favorite Sims challenge to participate in?
There are so many challenges nowadays that I've been trying, and they are so tricky and fun! My favorite one is the shell challenge, everyone is so creative with it, and it's so fun to see all the different results! In addition, as a builder, it really helps to expand your comfort zone and try something new.
SulziSim: What is your favorite thing about the Sims community?
The sims community is absolutely extraordinary! It's full of so many kind people, and the most creative creators I've ever seen! Everyone is so talented, and it's so fun to see all these unique creations every day. There are so many builds, drawings, sims, and concepts, and all of them
are truly amazing!
SulziSim: You create a lot of stop motion videos. Where do you get the patience to do them as I know they can be quite difficult to film.
You're right! Stop motion videos are definitely not easy to make. That's one of the reasons why I also focus on smaller builds more. It takes a lot of time and patience, and most of the time there are bugs. The process is frustrating, but the results are worth it!
SulziSim: Do you have any other tips for our readers on how to grow their YouTube channel or social media platforms?
It's kinda obvious but very important! Consistency is the key. You can't expect to blow up in a second, it takes time! Although it may feel frustrating, you learn a lot from your mistakes and only get better. I often look at my early creations and realize how much I've learned. I would also like to add that don't hesitate to post your creations, as it gives you more opportunities to grow! Thank you, Wambels for your time.
