MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS

You’ll automatically be reviewed for the following merit scholarships when you apply to Simmons. They are awarded based on academic performance, leadership and involvement, community service, and your college essay.

These merit scholarships range up to $31,000 per year.

Simmons Distinguished Scholar Award

This is a prestigious and competitive Simmons scholarship offered to students with exceptional academic achievements, a strong commitment to their community, and a passion for creating positive change in society. The scholarship covers full tuition, mandatory fees (excluding health insurance), and room & board.

Boston Scholarship

This scholarship covers full tuition and is specifically for students graduating from one of the Boston Public High Schools or charter schools.

Bonner Community Leaders

Students accepted to the four-year Bonner program will receive $2,000 to supplement their federal work-study award for each year they are in the program. They will engage in community service work, leadership trainings, and two service trips over their first and second years.

We encourage you to apply by our Priority Deadline of February 1. Our final deadline is June 15.

Submitting Your FAFSA

(Free Application for Federal Student Aid)

The FAFSA application is expected to open by December 1. We recommend that you submit your FAFSA as soon as you are able to. Our office will be working to have financial aid offers out beginning in mid- or late-January.

Part-time student employment (general or work-study) is available to enrolled, degree-seeking students. These opportunities allow students to develop and broaden their educational and professional skills while earning money.
