APP OF THE MONTH
PERSONAL CAPITAL MORE THAN A BUDGETING APP
The gist: For a long time I tried different methods of managing my money. I tried Quicken, Mint, the classic Excel spreadsheet, and more. But then I met Personal Capital and I haven’t looked back since. That was four years ago.
The reason I was so excited to use Personal Capital is that it is not just a budgeting app. I can do that on an Excel spreadsheet. Personal Capital dives much deeper than other financial apps because it is based on growing your net worth. It tracks your investments and tells you when you are being charged high fees. You can connect assets such as your home through sites like Zillow. You can connect your debts and see how paying them off grows your net worth. And, of course, you can budget and track your cash flow. I recommend this app to anyone interested in becoming more financially stable.
