Dear Friends of Simpson College: I am pleased to present the Simpson College Annual Report for fiscal year 2015-2016. This year, we have so many reasons to celebrate. The 2015-2016 Annual Fund was the largest in Simpson College’s 156-year history—a record $1,071,208.20. The Annual Fund grew by 5.27 percent over last year and surpassed $1 million for the fourth time. This level of success is truly a reflection of your loyalty and leadership.

You might recall the first-ever 24-hour Day of Giving campaign, SC Cares, delivered entirely via social media last spring. What an exciting and effective way to engage the Simpson community! In just over 24 hours, 412 donors gave an astounding $64,006. Faculty, staff, students and alumni all shared personal photos, stories and connections that defined their Simpson Experience. We saw an outpouring of love and support for the college.

I continue to be humbled by your deep commitment to providing a dynamic lifelong learning environment for current and future Simpson College students. On behalf of all of us at Simpson, thank you.

SC CARES DAY OF GIVING 2016 This year Simpson celebrated our first-ever 24-hour day of giving, on Campus Day, April 6, 2016. The campaign invited the entire Simpson Community to show love and support for the College and continue the tradition of giving back on Campus Day. Taking place primarily through email and on social media, the goal was to have 300 donors make a gift of any size during the 24 hours. The Alumni Board provided further motivation to give, by contributing $100 for every donor up to 300, totaling $30,000 for the campaign. At the end of the day we had 412 donors give $64,006 to The Simpson Fund, which was an incredibly overwhelming response.

The Presidents’ Society The Presidents’ Society was established to recognize the exemplary financial leadership of those individuals who contribute $1,000 or more in support of The Simpson Fund during a fiscal year. The gifts generated from this group make up an impressive portion of Simpson’s overall annual giving.

Through the support of members of The Presidents’ Society, and all of those who gave to The Simpson Fund, Simpson continues to provide to its students generous scholarship and financial assistance which helps create a most solid and forward-reaching liberal arts education.
