Architecture of Lanna 1. Project Objectives In 2005 “Architecture of Thailand” was published by Li-Zenn Publishing Limited of Nithi Sthapitanonda, and Thai Architecture Elements Series (8 projects) were continuously published afterwards. Consequently, these projects are well accepted both in Thailand and overseas with their best quality. Moreover, they are not only significantly useful but also give a real architectural knowledge for both architects and people who have the same interests. In 2011, Li-Zenn aimed to publish another series of architectural book named “Architecture of Lanna” in order to proudly show the glory day of Lanna more than a thousand years ago. In this book, all the photos, drawings as well as history of the North of Thailand Architectures including Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lam Poon, Lam Pang, Mae Hong Son, Phrae, Nan, Pra Yao etc. were intendedly collected.
2. Project Outline The main purpose of the book is to show and give readers a good understanding of ancient Lanna’s interesting culture and civilization by collecting the best photos and drawings with easy to read captions. This book is suitable for both Thais and foreigners who are interested in Lanna architectures. 3.Book quality 4-color hard cover book printed on high quality paper. Minimum 250 pages with English captions. 5. Distribution The book will be distributed to local well-known book stores and outside the country by Page One, Singapore. 6. Project crews Nithi Sthapitanonda, Editor and Project Lead. Editorial staffs of Li-Zenn Publishing Limited,in charge of preparing information and collecting datas including photos and drawings. Volunteer architects from Architect 49 Limited both in Bangkok and Chiang Mai.Local educational institutions for in-depth information. 7. Project Budget Forthe best success of the project, Li-Zenn Publishing Limited and Page One, Singapor are the main sponsors. Other sponsors are local stores and institutions in Thailand.
